Main Activities
- Deploy the REIM’s ESG Strategy and ensure its implementation at asset, fund and REIM levels across all European countries (mainly France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK, Benelux). Both for our institutional and private investors.
- Internal leadership and communication to further drive ESG integration at all level (product development, transaction and asset management, fund / portfolio management) and report regularly to REIM Executive committee or local committees
- Support the implementation of this strategy for each of our funds (exclusion, ESG selection policy at investment, objectives setting, green refurbishment, ESG roadmap at asset level, impact investing,….) depending on fund ESG specificities, investors demand and ensure compliance with new EU regulations at fund level (SFDR and EU Taxonomy)
- Is in the charge of the monitoring of our main stakeholders: the different property managers across countries who are supporting the asset management teams in the deployment of the ESG roadmaps
- Is in charge of the ESG reporting at REIM level (coordination of data collection and KPIs) and coordinate the ESG reporting at fund level. Coordinate external sustainability rating including the GRESB Survey, PRI both for REIM and for specific funds/portfolios
- Is in charge of the relationship and monitoring of energy data collection across Europe with our external partner (steering all stakeholders involved in the energy data collection)
- Respond to investor inquiries concerning the Business line’s and funds’ ESG topics: answering to RFPs on ESG topics, participate to the deployment of new products (impact investing)
- Acquire and maintain a global expertise regarding regulations, labels and certifications, new initiatives, competitive landscape in real Estate and more broadly in Asset management industry…and made it accessible for all teams in each entity.
- Manage key external relationships with consultants on ESG issues (dedicated advisors for the obtention of French SRI Label or Luxflag label)
- Lead and mentor the REIM CSR community (25 members) spread in between geography and areas of responsibilities: workshops, engagement, training, social initiative with the REIM social Days (participation to charity races across Europe)
- External leadership through contributing to industry initiatives representing BNP Paribas REIM (ASPIM, OID, INREV)
- Work closely with the BNP Paribas Real Estate Sustainability team and participate to REIM visibility across the bank business lines (CARDIF, BNPP Asset Management, BNPP Wealth Management).
Requirements/Skills
- Advanced CSR/ ESG experience in Real estate and/or Finance (5-8 years)
- Experience in the real estate business and particularly in Investment Management is a plus
- Strong ability to work in perfect autonomy is required in case locations differ between the different team members
- Fluent in English and at least another language – 80% of the daily work is in English
- Ability to summarize and convey complex content
- Cross-cultural skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage, motivate and evangelize teams on ESG
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize, to delegate, to monitor and deliver
- Ability to understand quickly and solve problems proactively
