V.I.E. MPS Process engineer, Donauwörth

Tasks

The main objective is the durable implementation of the Manufacturing Process Simulation (MPS) activity as a new service for Engineering and Production at EC Group-level (at diverse sites and centres). Different processes are being evaluated and prepared for the future, fast industrialisation through the use of new virtual tools for the simulation of the manufacturing & assembly processes cycles, e.g. draping simulation, injection simulation, curing simulation, heating simulation etc. A complex skill set, with a high degree of scientific background is needed.

The main tasks are:

• Active participation in diverse Research and Industrialisation Projects with focus on the new simulation service
• Gathering of customer requests and BC baseline for a new process simulation service
• Understanding relationship of main process parameters
• Understanding EC procedures and analyse situation on how to industrialise simulation
• Preparation of the fitted models; resolution of simulations; Analysis & presentation of the results
• Writing and releasing of technical notes at the ECG-level

Your skills

• Engineering Degree with specialisation in Structural Mechanics & Numerical Analysis of Material (incl. Composites)
• Previous experience in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Analysis with FEM-tools and/or Composite know-how is an advantage
• Fluency in English and German is essential, French or other language skills will be considered as an advantage
• International experience of 6 months or more (for studies or work) will be considered as an advantage
• Able to work as a member of a team and customer oriented
• Good communication skills including the technical level
• Have a good analytical approach and ability to think in processes
