Laboratory and On-site Technician (m/f), Cologne

We are a world leader for sports and athletics field testing, certification and technical consulting. We certify synthetic turf fields, athletic tracks, indoor sport halls on behalf of national and international sports federations and leagues.

We are on a fast-growing market and are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to startup our operations in our recently opened office in Frechen, Germany (Köln).

Laboratory and On-site Technician, Labosport Deutschland GmbH

Full time, permanent position

Key responsibilities include

• Organize production of field and laboratory testing,
• Represent and promote the company to existing and new clients,
• Conduct all types of synthetic sport surfaces testing, in the laboratory and on-site, according to key sports Federations regulations (FIFA, FIH, IAAF, ITF, etc.)
• Conduct quality tests on civil engineering base, elastic-layers, shock absorbing mats, etc.
• Support other types of field testing such as Goal Line Technology, fields audit and inspection, assisted by specialists from the Group
• Support the laboratory RAL accreditation process,
• Prepare test results reports and be accountable for delivery time and quality of service,
• Manage small administrative tasks,
• Stay up to date on synthetic surfaces standards (norms and standards)

Successful candidates will have

• A bachelor's degree in the technical field (electro-technical, mechanical or civil engineering)
• An interest in sport and a willingness to learn sport-specific test methods,
• Self-starter and capacity to work autonomously,
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills,
• A good command of English,
• A first experience in certification or in construction is a plus (not mandatory).

The job will require frequent travelling in Germany and occasionally in neighboring countries.
