Valeo Interior Controls
Valeo Interior Controls designs and manufactures solutions to improve the driver's control of the vehicle's immediate environment. Characterized by efficiency and ease of use, these systems and technologies allow drivers to "keep their eyes on the road and their hands on the wheel", thereby contributing to enhanced safety and driving comfort. Product engineering is responsible for the definition, specification, functional integration and validation of our control panels functionality, Valeo internally and to our customers, this function will be supported by the VIE, especially in validation, test automation for Automotive ECU using Labwindows CVI (NI) Tool for an ECU and a simulation of CAN bus.
You work under the hierarchical responsibility of the Site R&D Manager and in close cooperation of an experienced product engineer. Depending on the evolution of your know how and performance, self responsible product engineering can be an option for your personal evolution.
Tasks
The VIE will have to perform the following tasks:
- analyze the functional specifications
- analyze the existing test programs for running projects
- create and describe test cases to check functionalities
- create and describe test cases for robustness tests (disturbances)
- program test cases
- ensure the functionality of the programs
- run the tests
- analyze test results
- create test reports
- communicate to the team/customer
Competencies
- Diploma: technical engineer, preferable electronics/informatics
- Specific knowledge: electronics hardware basics, embedded µC systems, software development (C,C++) ... using and programming Labwindows CVI and/ or micro-controller and real time system, automotive networks (CAN, LIN) communications, automotive diagnostic systems, network communication tools (CANoe, CANanalyzer, ...), state machine development
- Language: working German & English
- Professional competences & personal characteristics: rigor & communication, interpersonal skills & team player
