As in order to build on the success of the "Volontariat international en entreprise" (VIE) programme we are looking for volunteers in the field of information systems consulting at ALTRAN in Germany and Austria for a period of approximately 12 months (negotiable).

Your roles and responsibilities:

• As a Consultant on the VIE programme you will work in a project team and support our clients in solving an information technology challenge.
• Depending on your academic background and practical experience your assignment will involve a variety of project stages: technical/strategic studies, research and development and/or implementation.
• During your time on the VIE programme you will have the opportunity to work in a number of different projects and will be able to gather valuable experience in an international context.

Your profile:

• You have successfully gained your MSc, Diploma (or equivalent) in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics or natural sciences and have initial experience in technical projects or in consulting.

In addition you are familiar with one or more of the following areas:

• Data mining, data warehousing
• business intelligence: marketing - campaign management, risk analysis (Basel II), sales management
• relational database systems: database management und database programming (f.e. PL/SQL, Oracle, DB2)
• statistics (SAS, SPSS)

• Ideally you are proficient in English and German.
