Tasks
You will be in charge to pilot manages and monitor the industrial aspects and the industrial maturity of the couple product/supplier in the multi disciplinary team. As such will co-ordinate with all parties concerned (manufacturing, engineering, techno/EEE, suppliers, etc.) in order to initiate, implement and monitor global improvements of the continuous control and of the equipment suppliers:
- Define and plan the surveillance of the suppliers through key performance indicators, industrial process control assessments, recovery intervention, CID (Corrective, Improvement, and Development) and risks management with internal and external concerned parties
- Assess all supplier industrial and supply chain aspects in accordance with Astrium policy. Identify the industrial weaknesses, the axis of improvements
- Propose of methods (lean, 6 sigmas, problem solving, etc.), indicators, process controls, test means, establish and agree with nominated suppliers leader of pertinent objectives , targets and CID action plans etc., taking into account the supplier culture and size; Monitor industrial risks and industrial changes prevention/mitigation
- Ensure that all suppliers preventive/corrective and continuous improvement action plans are properly managed, are efficient and achievements are at the expected level in terms of end results
- Organize, plan and implement industrial assessments, recovery intervention and "best practices" work sessions in the supplier sites and monitor actions
- Prepare and support regular management reviews with suppliers to review regularly delivery quality and supply chain performances and ensure that preventive/corrective and improvement actions are continuously undertaken and deliver to target
- When needed, provide training to the supplier's team for root cause finding and treatment and other supply chain methods as of need, based on own expertise in such methods and tools
You will ensure the process adherence of the procurement activities for the group of equipment and suppliers that you have in charge, as such you will support and coach of the Supply Relation Managers (SRM) that have delegation for PA related matters to ensure their full knowledge and understanding:
- Monitor and control of the application procurement process activities
- Identify, approve major deviations to process putting equipment at risk and request correction (in particular approve major process and product evolution for recurring equipment, check design and production consistency through CDR and QR, etc.)
- Check the correct flown down of requirements and the compliance status; discuss and instruct the acceptability of non compliance to PA/parts/radiation requirements
- Ensure the coherency of the processing of alerts and warning notices within the group
- When necessary participate to supplier reviews, participate to the periodic NCR's review, and manage major NRB's with his expertise and methodology in problem solving
You will consolidate for the supplier domain risk ranking/ surveillance plan / NCR treatment / corrective and development action and report internally and towards prime.
Profile
- Multi-disciplinary/mechanical/electrical engineer, proficient in English; advance level in German would be a plus
- Professional experience in product development and production (typically ten years)
- Strong industrial background and supply chain experience, with quality assurance experience
