  • You are a high-energy, experienced leader in strategy, business development, sales, and key account management, with a hands-on, team-oriented approach.
  • You have over 5 years of managerial experience in technical sales within the mechanical engineering sector.
  • You possess a business degree and/or a technical background.
  • You have worked in the packaging industry for a machine builder, with experience in an international environment.
  • You are characterized by your conceptual, organizational, strategic, and methodological competencies.
  • You have exceptional planning, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • You enjoy leading a team and are a collaborative team player with a strong customer and service orientation.
  • You look forward to a diverse role that includes visiting customers on-site, primarily in France, Belgium, and Switzerland, with occasional trips to Spain (25% of the time).
  • You are fluent in French and have professional proficiency in English or German; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.

Key responsibilities - What we expect from you

  • You will conduct market segmentation, evaluation, and competitor analysis to inform strategy.
  • You will create and maintain multi-year and annual sales and service plans, ensuring alignment with growth targets.
  • You will provide input on product portfolio development based on customer requirements.
  • You will collaborate with Managing Directors and VP Sales in Germany and lead sales operations for designated product categories.
  • You will prepare strategic offers, build a robust sales pipeline, and manage project risks including contractual, technical, and customer expectations.
  • You will analyse competitors’ capacities, prices, and unique selling points to inform offers and negotiation strategies.
  • You will develop and implement the USP/marketing strategy for France, maintaining proactive customer interaction, especially with key accounts.
  • You will manage and coach sales staff, ensuring efficient communication, goal monitoring, and present reliable project pipeline and order intake expectations.
  • You will oversee spare parts sales and upgrade projects, solve customer problems promptly and professionally, and integrate and observe processes with the Service team.
  • You will train and support service technicians, manage a growing team of around 10 employees, and foster a collegial team atmosphere with professional and positive communication.
