Tasks
As Data Manager your main role will be to provide prompt and efficient support for the department Procurement Managers for all tasks not directly related to negotiation with suppliers.
You will be responsible for supporting Procurement Managers using SAP/BW (in French and German), in particular by:
- Ensuring data entered in SAP is consistent and up-to-date
- Creating SAP requests for PMs (e.g. unpaid invoice lists, etc.)
- Centralising and summarising SAP requirements for the section
- Ensuring technical support in the event of SAP/BW problems (centralising anomalies or bugs and modifications in conjunction with the appropriate Astrium department)
- Training new employees to use SAP/BW (PM tasks)
- Creating standardised dashboards for each PM which can be consolidated at section level
- Calculating weighted averages for payments, calculating penalties/access
- Monitoring the evolution of contract price revision formulas
- Implementing a consistency/summary table in conjunction with the Programme/Sales
You will optimise department tools on a global level by:
- Identifying and updating SAP validation rights, access rights to folders on the local server and to the various procurement portals, etc.
- Managing data on the local server (contract type, conditions, reference documentation, etc.) and providing PMs with the latest applicable versions of these documents.
Profile
- You are a candidate with a technical qualification (BTS/DUT) in Information Management or Information Systems Management and have at least 2 years of experience in a Procurement/Supply Chain position within the aerospace industry or a similar field.
- It is essential that you have technical knowledge of the tools used by buyers, e.g. SAP/BW and Office software.
- You have excellent communication skills which will enable you to deal with the large number of people involved in the decision-making process.
- Ideally you are recognised for your summary skills (e.g. in creating tool work specifications), your ability to listen and your willingness to contribute new ideas (proactive approach in dealing with buyers in the decision-making process).
- This job requires an advanced level of English.
