Head of Composites Works (m/f), Donauwörth

Aufgaben

The job holder (m/f) will lead and manage a department within the Laboratory for Materials and Processes (LMP) which is responsible for the development and optimisation of production technologies with focus on industrialisation as well as for the implementation of those technologies in the composite prototype workshop with the goal to early demonstrate a robust maturity level.

The role and responsibilities in detail:

• Establish and foster technical know-how in composite production and tooling technology and transfer this knowledge to both engineering and industry
• Support start of serial production and production ramp-ups
• Responsibility for work preparation, planning and control as well as the coordination of internal and external suppliers for the composite prototype workshop
• Consolidate and maintain the qualification and skill level within the department
• Implementation of the M & P Roadmap which derived from strategy 
• Foster the technology network within and outside the company
• Secure knowledge transfer within the LMP between the projects and programs with respect to production technologies

Profil

• Degree in engineering, aeronautics or similar
• Extensive experience in production and the leading of teams
• Very good knowledge of lightweight design, materials and manufacturing processes
• Experience in project management, specifically of research and development projects, ideally in an international environment
• Hands-on mentality and a solution-oriented approach as well as strong communication skills
• Highly flexible and willingness to travel
• English and German: fluent
• French: good knowledge desirable
