Construction Engineering Manager (m/f), Lyon

Missions

• Depending on the operational requirement, your missions will aim to:
• Define, get approval and follow up on construction CAPEX to ensure deliveries of SWS system, in line with customer’s needs and Bayer standard (safety, compliance, ...).
• Validate technical specification definition to fit business requirements.
• Ensure roll out of the technical brief and conformity with initial requirements, alert if discrepancies and get approval for mitigation plan if needed.
• Prepare construction planning; coordinate suppliers to ensure timely delivery. And define clear construction project member’s project team for each SWS project; coordinate the project team based on suppliers and internal expertise.
• Communicate regularly on the different critical steps of the construction project. And get approval by the SWS business manager for critical changes towards initial technical specification.
• Ensure solutions delivered with required level of safety / security standard (machine, product, IT, people...), and necessary local certifications.
• And define maintenance requirements and build the maintenance contract proposal.
• Ensure all specification and maintenance requirements are properly documented.
• Provide technical support for defining supplier’s legal contract and provide engineering support & coordinate construction of prototype for the new functionalities / innovations. And prepare and implement accurate tests and certification before delivery to ensure operational solutions to customers.

Profile

• Completed University Degree as rail or mechanical engineer (Estaca, ECE Paris, IMT Lille Douai, Ecole des Ponts ParisTech...), you justify at least a 5 years experience in international business management or previous operational experience in customer contact positions (sales and marketing).
• You have the ability to manage very complex situations and varied subjects.
• Your strong priority-setting and delegation skills allow you to carry out major projects.
• Networking and stakeholder management skills are required for this position
• High standard in verbal and written English are essential.
