Tasks

  • Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer Germany and leading a team of around 35-40 people, including seven direct reports in Sales Distribution & Marketing.
  • Full ownership of the business development strategy for Cardif Germany, from definition to successful execution.
  • Driving growth in Germany across Consumer Finance, Retail Banking, Automotive and Mortgage Protection through an ambitious internal and external growth plan.
  • Managing and expanding large strategic partnerships, maintaining CEO-Level relationships and continuously identifying new business opportunities.
  • Designing and innovating value propositions and distribution models together with IT & Operations, based on Partner needs, market trends and strong commercial practices.
  • Leading the transformations of the Sales Distribution & Marketing organization, ensuring effective hierarchical management and sharing best practices across countries.
  • Steering key business-development initiatives (including expansion of the automative footprint, strengthening banking partnerships and building the mortgage protection market)
  • Being accountable for achieving GWP and NBI targets

Profile

  • Several years of experience in the German insurance market, combined with a strong professional network in consumer finance, retail banking, automative finance and mortgage markets.
  • Ideally, proven experience in a CSO role (or a comparable Senior Sales position).
  • A successful track record in business transformation projects within an insurance company (e.g. new market development, HR transformation).
  • Strong ability to manage and further develop very large partnerships.
  • Local presence in Germany, ensuring medium-term managerial stability.
  • Preferably a German national, but we also welcome other nationalities with strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills in both English and German, suitable for internal and external stakeholders.
