As Wooclap is rapidly expanding in Europe, we are looking for a Business Developer - Country Launcher Germany to join our team. The Business Developer - Country Launcher is responsible for launching Wooclap in Germany by defining and executing Wooclap go-to-market strategy.

This role requires a mix of strategic vision and hands-on, fast and relentless execution. The Business Developer - Country Launcher will play a pivotal role in the success of Wooclap expansion plan and will drive all the steps of country launch with a strong level of autonomy: from localising our offer to increasing our awareness, closing our first customers and hiring a A-players team.

The Business Developer - Country Launcher Germany reports directly to our Head of Sales, Fabien, and closely works with every team towards the common goal of hitting revenue targets and market leadership in Germany.

Responsibilities & Duties

Build and execute our go-to-market strategy

  • Develop local expertise of the Higher Education landscape in Germany to understand and anticipate customers’ needs
  • Perform market analysis to forecast revenue and potential business growth on different market segments
  • Propose go-to-market strategies and execute it at fast pace using a mix of Sales and Marketing levers
  • Work closely with other teams at Wooclap to deliver customer insights, help identify and address priorities (product tweaks, value proposition localisation, etc.) and enable Wooclap to stay ahead of the local competition
  • Follow and report on business KPIs

Reach our Sales targets

  • Be the face of Wooclap (either in events, conferences or local partner networks) and make sure we gain high visibility in Germany
  • Prospect and pitch Wooclap to new clients and partners
  • Achieve and surpass your personal sales objectives by closing contracts with top-tier customers
  • Build and maintain successful relationships with prospects and existing clients in Germany
  • Ensure that each local customer becomes an ambassador and generates opportunities using all available resources

Manage and coach a Sales team

  • Hire, train, lead and retain a top-performing team on your market
  • Act as a coach to ensure proper processes and best practices adoption, enable your team to achieve and surpass their goals and reach an overall high level of performance
  • Ensure exhaustive documentation of resources and best practices and proactively share them to the rest of the Sales team
  • Contribute to the improvement of the overall sales process

Qualifications

Preferred experience

  • Successful track record in B2B Sales or in market opening in a startup environment
  • Strong interest for the EdTech sector
  • Fluent in German (native speaker is a huge plus) and familiar with German business culture
  • Fluent in English (C1 level)
  • Proficiency in French would be a bonus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You can manage end-to-end long sales cycles (3 to 12+ months) from hunting to creating meaningful business relationships, negotiating contracts and closing deals
  • You’re an entrepreneurial-minded top-performer with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and deadlines. You thrive to test and get things done, with a strong attention to detail
  • You like to think out of the box and leverage cross-functional approaches to reach your goals
