VIE - Development Engineer (m/f), Ladenburg

Rigips is one of the best-known brands in the German and European building materials industry. We owe this position to our pioneering spirit and innovative strength, which enabled us to establish drywall construction in Germany. Today, we are one of the leading companies providing system solutions for drywall construction in Germany.

The main role

Your missions will consist in testing board materials and conditions at the lab scale and analyzing the results. Then, depending on data analysis, results will be transferred and implemented in our plant, in collaboration with the R&D team. Meetings with the plant will also be held weekly so that you can present the latest results on these investigations and optimization of production process.

This will consist in:

• Analyzing existing reports and trial documentation to identify trends;
• Working on the organization, production and analysis of boards at our lab;
• Focusing on lab analysis of samples (chemical and optical methods will be used to assess board properties);
• Attending full scale trial at the plant;
• Documenting and presenting the results.

A plus for this role:

• R&D lab work with a strong connection to the production constraints.
• Scale up opportunities of the trials in the plant.

Profile

• Engineering background (e.g. material science).
• High verbal and written communication skills in English; German basics are welcome.
• You are able to work autonomously, have an interest for technical aspects and have a hands-on mentality.
• Some laboratory testing experience would be a plus.
• Class B driver’s license would be beneficial due to the work location.
