For the Thales Deutschland GmbH, location Stuttgart, we are looking for a Strategy Analyst.

Tasks

  • Monitoring and analysing of the Macroeconomic & Political environment
  • Monthly press screening focussing on subjects from special interest
  • Analysis of trends and politic directions (regular presentation)

Performing competitor / partner / industry analysis on request:

  • Strategy / tactical analysis
  • Analysis of core competencies, unique selling prepositions and differentiators
  • Financial investigation in key figures from P&L, cash flow statement and balance sheet
  • Co-ordinate with the market intelligence responsible persons in the business domains and divisions

Daily support of the Strategy Director:

  • Briefing on technical/economic topics on demand
  • On-demand support in the production of PPT Presentation (conceptual and/or format) and relevant documents
  • Organisational support (strategy department): Strategic library, Strategy Intranet Website
  • Participation in work shops / meetings as required
  • Support of Thales business domains on strategic themes on demand

Skills

  • Excellent understanding of economics (MBA studies or equivalent)
  • Ability to combine general strategic framework knowledge with various disciplines like finance, marketing, etc.
  • Research and investigation methods (internet search, press screening, interviews, etc.), ability to see the "weak" signals
  • Open-minded, ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Flexibility
  • Out-of-the box thinking
  • Independent working
  • Communication & presentation skills, reducing complexity to core messages
  • German, English, French
