In order to build on the success of the "Volontariat international en entreprise" (VIE) programme we are looking for volunteers in the field of technology and R&D consulting at ALTRAN in Germany and Austria for a period of approximately 12 months (negotiable).

Your roles and responsibilities:

• As a Consultant on the VIE programme you will work in a project team and support our clients in solving a technology challenge.
• Depending on your academic background and practical experience your assignment will involve a variety of project stages: technical/strategic studies, research and development and/or implementation.
• During your time on the VIE programme you will have the opportunity to work in a number of different projects and will be able to gather valuable experience in an international context.

Your profile:

• You have successfully gained your MSc, Diploma (or equivalent) in engineering, specializing in computer science/computer engineering, electrical engineering, automation or communications engineering and have initial professional experience in technical projects in the automotive industry or in consulting.

In addition you are familiar with one or more of the following areas:

• System and software-Engineering, UML modelling
• Real time system software such as QNX, RTOS, VxWorks, OSEK, embedded Linux, Windows Automotive
• Automotive communications and bus systems: CAN, MOST, LIN, FlexRay
• Software processes and development standards: MISRA, V-Model, CMMi, SPICE
