Missions
Drive the Bayer Field Solutions digital strategy and prioritization with EMEA :
- Manage a multi-year Trial/Study Planning dashboard for Innovation initiatives, early projects and projects for registration in line with Crop strategies.
- Manage the mapping of our EMEA Field capacities & capabilities
- Support the development of digital data analytics to foster enhanced decision-making processes
- Lead regionally Field Trial Operations activities in close relation with Cluster Field Operations teams
- Ensure auditing of contractors working for Bayer on safety & compliances rules.
- Act as the Bayer ECPA representative for Efficacy including Digital activities.
- Ensure the coordination of bio-dossiers production for submission in EMEA.
Accountable for adapting & driving the digital transformation journey to the specificities of EMEA Field Solutions including:
- Lead EMEA support for the development of a new advanced platform for field activity planning, data capture, data reporting and data analysis.
- Lead EMEA in the strategy and implementation of field automation efforts for modernization of equipment, introduction & utilization of digital data capture (UAS, mobile) and alternative technologies for assessments (sensors, mobile).
- Define key capability that will transform our operations (on-equipment data collection & sensors, drones, decision to operations, in-field decision support, georeferenced field trial mgmt, automated analysis, etc.)
Profile
- University degree in agriculture or equivalent with at least 10 years of experience in different agricultural areas with high degree of digital/data fluency.
- Good knowledge and understanding of practical agriculture and horticulture (business / economics / market / biotech / chemistry) and good experience in field trials analytics and decisions (trial designs, biometrics /statistic knowledge)
- Excellent leadership skills to implement efficient development processes in a region of high diversity and under high regulatory constraints.
- Good written and oral communication skills for effective interaction with a variety of groups and cultures.
- Excellent networking with global, regional and local functions.
- Ability to create clarity and work effectively in ambiguous situations.
- Ability to think innovatively and inspire others to take action.
- Have good organizational skills and analytical thinking
- The job requires the social competencies to understand, influence and motivate through leadership (lead by example; live LIFE values), combining professional backgrounds, different countries, nationalities and cultures, and languages which calls for excellent communication and interpersonal skills both within and external to Bayer Crop Science
