Our client, a leading French manufacturer of paint booths and surface treatment systems who has been active for several decades, is expanding its presence on the German market and strengthening its after-sales service. Working with body and paint shops, you will handle the maintenance, troubleshooting and follow-up of installations in your territory in Germany, as:

What we count on you for - Your mission

Reinforcing the technician already in place, with whom you will share the German territory, you will be the technical point of contact for the customers in your area and actively contribute to growing the service business.

The core of your role: what we count on you for

• You will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of paint booths and surface treatment systems directly at customer sites. You will mainly support body shops and paint shops with 1 to 5 employees. You will also take part in the major annual overhaul of an industrial customer.
• You will diagnose and repair control cabinets and PLC controls (Siemens), on site or remotely by phone
• You will also work on mechanical components (actuators, damper control) and on direct-fired gas burners
• You will plan and optimize your routes and assignments independently, with around 3 travel days per week and an average of 1 to 2 overnight stays (likely fewer once the territory is split after you join)
• You will accurately document your visits, orders and routes in the internal CRM tool and prepare your quotes from your home office

Your path forward: your sales opportunities

• You will proactively approach existing customers who are not yet serviced, as well as operators of booths from other manufacturers without a service contract
• You will offer and sell maintenance contracts, first aid kits and spare parts during your visits
• You will also meet customers interested in purchasing a new booth, in coordination with the sales team

Why we want you on our team - your strengths

• Your background: technical training, ideally in electrical engineering or mechatronics, and initial experience in the maintenance or troubleshooting of installations, including fault diagnosis on control cabinets. Mechanical knowledge and experience with gas burners are a plus. Or comparable experience.
• Your languages: you speak fluent German. French is highly appreciated, alternatively a good command of English.
• Your IT skills: proficiency in Excel and Word as well as a CRM system is desirable.
• Your style & personality: service-oriented, independent and proactive, you know how to dig into an installation to pinpoint a fault. Interest in sales and a talent for optimizing your travel planning is a big plus.
