Your job
- Drafting and executing legal documents (e.g., reinsurance agreements, NDAs, and license agreements)
- Defining treaty standards for Life, Health, and Disability business
- Assessing appropriateness and properness of external contract drafting
- Ensuring compliance with external and internal standards and guidelines
- Acting as a service provider and primary source of information for the Client Management team in connection with any questions regarding life and health reinsurance contract law
- Actively consulting Client Management when negotiating reinsurance treaties with clients
- Proactively developing and constantly improving treaty wording
- Actively participating in the local wording expert community
- Managing dedicated run-off clients (clean-cut candidates)
Your profile
- Excellent university degree with legal and/or economic background (law, law & economics, econometrics, business administration, or similar) and practical experience in drafting and assessing legal documents,
or
Expert knowledge of life, disability, health insurance businesses in combination with a proven, very good understanding of law and strong practical experience in drafting and assessing legal documents
Ideally several years of professional experience in a law firm or corporate
General understanding of commercial and contract law
Willingness and ability to learn about new areas of the law and develop innovative reinsurance solutions
Distinguished communication skills; excellent negotiation, time management, and decision-making skills
Excellent command of the English language; additional languages, in particular French, are a plus
Knowledge about insurance product concepts, regulatory concepts, and legal concepts along with a strongly collaborative, proactive, and self-starting nature
Strong understanding of business issues; creativity in developing pragmatic solutions
Ability to integrate into a well-qualified, high-performing team; high degree of responsibility, motivation, and self-reliance
High level of commitment and willingness to contribute to a good team spirit
Strong inclination for IT and data protection
Willingness to travel occasionally
