Senior Legal Counsel (m/f)
specialized in European corporate and commercial law, with an emphasis on French law with 5-7yrs PQE (Post Qualification Experience). The position will be based in Munich.
As the leading legal counsel dedicated to several EMEA countries, including France, you will independently and proactively support local senior management and provide legal assistance as and when needed.
Typical Responsibilities
- Advising and protecting the company's key intellectual property assets, mostly related to copyrighted material and trademarks
- Managing local litigation
- Drafting and negotiating key sales contracts, and in particular contracts with our key operator customers
- Advising and assisting marketing department in planning, negotiating and executing global, regional and local marketing campaigns
- Advising local market units on market specific issues that arise from time to time
- Management of local legal subsidiaries with the assistance of external lawyers; review of the minutes of the board meetings; and drafting of powers of attorney
- Participation or leadership of various projects - often on a global basis - like coordinating the legal work with our other global offices and legal teams. Examples include knowledge management, compliance programs, and rolling out legal training
Requirements
- French fully qualified lawyer or French Master of Law degree. Alternatively, fully qualified lawyer in another EU Member State with significant relevant work experience in France
- 5-7 years of top level experience in relevant private practice or in an in-house legal department, with the ability to work effectively as part of a performance oriented team
- Fluent in English and French, additional language skills in German and/or Spanish are a major plus
