Senior Accountant for Shared Service Center (m/f), France

Our client is offering a position for a

Senior Accountant (m/f)

to help them develop their Shared Service Center Mediterranean currently covering France, Spain, Italy, Turkey and Morocco by combining and harmonizing all related accounting activities and providing excellent financial services to our internal customers. Based in France, you will be responsible for application of our company accounting principles and procedures to analyze the financial situation of our group companies in the region, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, ensure appropriate accounting and control, all in line with corporate rules and standards.

Missions

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly, quarterly and annual accounts
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
• Meet all financial reporting deadlines
• Prepare financial management reports (MIS)
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
• Resolve accounting discrepancies
• Manage and support budget and forecast activities
• Monitor and support taxation issues
• Prepare financial audit and coordinate audit process
• Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
• Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends

Profile

• Accounting degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years work experience, preferably in a multi-national company
• Proven knowledge of IFRS accounting principles
• Work experience with SAP FI/CO
• Work experience in an organization providing services across multiple markets or geographies an asset
• Self - organized with attention to detail and accuracy
• Information and task monitoring
• Strong communication skills
• Good command of English language is a requirement, French language skills an asset
