Program Logistic Engineer (w/m/d) Transport - Inbound, Karlsruhe

Main missions

• Technical contact person on complex transport topics for our plants and logistics service providers
• support in negotiations with logistics service providers as well as the elaboration and preparation of contracts
• development of a decision matrix in the area of logistics service providers worldwide
• elaboration, support and evaluation of transport tenders
• calculation, tracking and analysis of transport costs in the context of budget planning
• evaluation of logistics costs
• optimization of logistics purchasing and transport processes
• market analysis of the potential logistics service providers
• support of the sites in invoice audits incl. troubleshooting

Profile

• completed training as a forwarding agent and/or completed studies in business administration with a focus on logistics or a comparable qualification
• many years of professional experience in the relevant field, preferably within the automotive industry
• experience in the field of national and international land transport
• well-founded knowledge in freight cost controlling or. Sales of transport services
• Extensive experience in the field of negotiation (land, sea and air freight)
• Routine in dealing with MS Office, in particular MS Excel
• Ideally knowledge of SAP
• Very good German and English skills in words and english
• Self-employed, structurally and analytically pronounced working methods
• Distinct negotiating skills and assertiveness
