Missions

  • Drive innovation, implementation, and utilization of the latest breeding technologies available to develop superior OSR hybrids for target market segments and product concepts
  • Lead execution for regional pipeline characterization; ensure that these goals and deliverables are aligned with high level functional goals and corporate objectives to support long range plans
  • Develop and implement people, product, and site strategies in alignment with needs of EMEA breeding and the business
  • Promote employee development, including growth opportunities for key high potential individuals and senior scientists, strong succession, and change management efforts to prepare for future transformation within the function and an evolving workforce
  • Fiscally responsible for capital and budgetary oversight and for care and maintenance of company assets
  • Ensure HS&E, Compliance, Business Conduct and Human Rights focus and culture in the region

Your profile

  • A PhD in in Plant Breeding, Statistics, Molecular Biology, Pathology, Agronomy, or related field of study or Masters Degree with 5+ years of project management experience in an agricultural-related research position is required.
  • In addition, the role requires exceptional leadership, people development skills, and an affinity to thrive in a team-based work environment.
  • The ability to communicate complex analyses in clear, precise, and actionable manner along with proficiency in digital applications, database management, and visualization software will be necessary.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment, leading and influencing people at various levels of responsibility is preferred.
