The "Business Development Executive" will be responsible in the undertaking of critical tasks such as strategical relationships with the press, B2B partners & Vintage Ambassadors. He will also be performing key jobs such as sales, marketing activities including advertising and public relations. A captivating position with immense growth opportunities to develop and nurture your skills in to a market leader.  Chief goal of this position is to sell motorcycle tours across South Asia.

Marketing and Communication

  • Responsible for online communications such as blogs, newsletters, rewriting of site content, social media, etc and offline communications such as building a network of journalists to bring in positive media coverage for the company, participating in key international events & melas only once permission has been granted by the board of directors, etc. 
  • Marketing of company products and services to the right market whether B2B or B2C.
  • Preparing blogs as per company strategy and aiding the development of marketing goals.
  • Weekly update of all online communications such as website update, blogs, newsletter, social media, etc.
  • To achieve frequent, timely and positive media coverage across all available media.

Sales & Building Partnerships

  • Make sales calls to new and existing clients and achieve monthly sales targets.
  • Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person
  • Develop and maintain the relationships with current customers and potential customers as well; generate and qualify leads
  • Negotiate with clients & deal with complaints if any.
  • Source and develop client referrals
  • Develop and maintain a customer database
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals stemming from field activity 
  • Implementation of key partnerships in close collaboration with the market head for negotiations as well as for fixing the global strategy and legal frameworks.
  • Building strategic partnerships with clubs, motorbike accessories shops, dealers, official motorbike importers and travel agents.
  • Pushing the ambassador's concept of Vintage Rides and getting effective individuals or companies for the same. 
  • Development of the German speaking customer base and tours in line with the strategy, ensuring safety and quality of tours.

Operations

  • Developing &/or adapting production packages to german market in line with Strategy and partnership framework. 
  • Managing the operations, bookings of local agents, hotels, bikes through the travel executive or directly if needed.
  • Monitor the various chief competitors in the market and tweak the various products accordingly. 
  • Being a motorcycle tour leader in (if needed) different regions of South Asia making sure that the primary objective is guest safety and satisfaction. 
  • Maintain and develop organizational culture, values and reputation in its markets and with all customers, suppliers, partners, colleagues and regulatory/official bodies. 
  • Update the mandatory tour documents such as trip statements, itineraries, etc on a regular basis.
  • Keep the accounts department in loop for the financial needs of every touring trip. 
  • Daily meeting with the Market Head to set priorities of the day and weekly targets.
  • Weekly review on the following criteria's: sales, production, communication, operations and other important subjects.

First challenges - 2 months Max

  • Learn all the standard operating procedures. 
  • Develop new partnerships, press relations & ambassadors for vintage rides according to company strategy.
  • Create a database of German clients and contact all available databases

Position requirements

  • A passion for motorbikes and holding a valid motorbike license
  • Individuals seeking an internship at the end of their final year to close their studies 
  • Sales Degree (a plus) 
  • Hands on experience is an asset (a plus)
  • Ability to communicate effortlessly with native German speakers & members of the team from different backgrounds.

Salary and scope of evolvement

All interns during their stay shall receive a sum of INR 20,000 / month as compensation for their daily expenses. But at the end of their internship if they have performed exceptionally well and met all the company targets; this position could lead up to being an active road captain. And if the management see's true talent in the individual the position of the market leader will be offered to you, wherein you shall be managing your own team and taking key decisions for your market.
