International Workshop Programme - Manager, Weil am Rhein

We are looking for an independent and communicative person to organise and economically develop our workshop programme at Domaine de Boisbuchet.

From June to September the Centre International de Recherche et d'Education Culturelle et Agricole, in cooperation with the Vitra Design Museum, runs international design and architecture workshops at the Domaine de Boisbuchet (Lessac) which would also be the working environment for summertime. From October to May the new manager would be working at Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein.

• Full time position, basic salary/honorarium plus profit-related provision
• Start: Dec 2009 / January 2010

Profile

• Studies and long-term experience in the field of (cultural) tourism and/or education/pedagogics
• Long-term experience in executive management; self-dependent projects; experience in leading teams/staff
• Very good communicational and organizational skills; natural authority
• Very good skills (writing and speaking) in English, French and German; preferably good skills in another language
• Basic knowledge in design and - Ability to work under pressure; high flexibility (local and in tasks); all-rounder
• Computer: access, excel, internet/html, image editing
• Editorial skills
• Driver's license

Tasks to carry out

• Complete self-dependent organisation of the summer workshop programme
• Coordination of up to 100 persons at a time locally (participants, staff, designers
• and guests); direction of up to 18 staff members
• economical development of the workshop department
• Fundraising, accountancy, administration
• Communication with designers/architects, participants, partners, clients
• Documentation
