Position Description
People Development & Training
- Ensure the management of team members (performance management, training, recruitment, merit increase, monitoring…),
- Organize the training of technicians as needed under the supervision of the central planning,
- Foster practical exchanges with other supervisors on people development
- Contribute and ensure high safety and quality standards including compliance with the Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and the Quality Management System
- Contribute and monitor the implementation of all individual or collective safety instructions,
- Develop technical and personal skills of each team member, and especially develop and shape the team according to the current and future business needs.
- Use, share and develop her/his own technical expertise and leadership skills
Collaboration
- Ensure a good communication of the information amongst the team of technicians.
- Assure a good communication with other stakeholders and contribute to a good team spirit within the Research Centre.
- Foster a way of working in project mode by providing background information
- Be responsible with other Technical Supervisors Project Managers and other stakeholders involved for timely delivery and transparent resource allocation, in accordance with customer requirements
Project planning & tools
- Support and ensure good communication with the central planning and project scheduling
- Responsible of daily operational changes in planning.
- Be responsible for day-to-day management: Optimize the human resources allocated to the projects or studies
- Contribute to the development of new technologies and tests and contribute to the validation of those new methods with Project Managers
- Responsible of correct operational functioning of laboratories and equipment
Scientific expertise in Histomorphology & toxicologic pathology
- Be responsible for subcontracting histotechnological work with external laboratories in France and abroad as needed
- Manage research and or technical projects in histomorphology and / or toxicology including the follow-up of studies, budgets, communication of results, reports and costs, within the negociated deadlines
- Scout for new approaches, tools and technologies including LabAutomation and digitalization in the fields of histomorphology and/or toxicology.
- Provide scientific assistance to toxicologic pathologists, especially in the checking of pathology data, in the preparation of toxicologic pathology reports.
- Perform morphological descriptions in the necropsy room.
Qualifications
- Master 2 Degree and 10 year s of experience in Histology, Biology and/or Toxicology or PhD in Biology and 4 years of experience.
- Knowledge of concepts, principles and techniques related to the Toxicology as well as related disciplines. An experience in the industry field would be appreciated
- High level of knowledge regarding Animal Ethics
- Ability to manage a team, relational quality and team spirit, as well as good communication skills.
- Knowledge and use of English (written and oral).
