As our French Game Translator, you will be based in our Berlin office but will be part of a global Localization team. Your work will have a direct impact on Kabam's success by ensuring AAA quality for our game localization.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Localizing our games for the French speaking market, ensuring high quality and consistency
  • Translating, adapting and proofreading in-game text, website content, voice scripts, manuals, user communication, promotional documents and marketing copy 
  • Ensuring a high level of quality for the localized versions and conduct frequent linguistic quality assurance tests
  • Reporting and resolving all French text and localization bugs
  • Working with the product and marketing teams to ensure that the games are appealing to the local audiences

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Native French speaker with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Impeccable French spelling and grammar, as well as proficiency in English
  • Experience in game translation and localization
  • Avid gamer with a solid understanding of games and game genres
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Creative writing ability

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • General knowledge of video game terminology for the respective market and ability to adopt use of language to different game genres and themes 
  • A solid knowledge of Internet technology and Microsoft Office products as well as good general computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task and deal with tight deadlines and time pressure
  • Good team player. Experience working in a multi-cultural and global team is a plus
  • A degree in translation, localization, linguistics
  • Prior experience in video game localization or testing
