Country Manager (m/f) France, Berlin

Visual Meta GmbH is an innovative e-commerce company based in the heart of Berlin, which has grown rapidly since being founded in 2009. Since 2011 our company has been taken over by the Axel Springer group.

We run shopping platforms named LadenZeile and ShopAlike worldwide, offering fashion, furniture and a variety of other products to our users. Our service is used by thousands of daily visitors and an ever-increasing number of partner shops.

Now we are looking for a motivated Country Manager (m/f) who masters the French and English language fluently to lead our French team in order to promote the expansion of our shopping portal www.shopalike.fr to start as soon as possible.

Your profile

• University degree (business/management emphasis) or equivalent education
• At least 2 years of experience in online marketing, e-commerce or similar
• Proven experience in managing a team
• Self-confident, self-dependent, proactive and ambitious individual
• Strong negotiation skills and entrepreneurial thinking
• Structured, accurate and communicative
• Fluent in spoken and written French and English

Your responsibilities

• Managing the French platform www.shopalike.fr and all the operations within a team up to 10 team members
• Recruiting and managing staff, including performance monitoring, mentoring and training
• Acquiring new clients (partner shops, web agencies) and CRM
• Performing various aspects of Online Marketing (SEM, Affiliate Marketing) including conception and execution
• Responsible for the quality of the platform (content, products) and of our Social Media accounts
• Analyzing the competition and the market
• Producing business performance reports
