Our client is a market leader within engineered structures and reinforcement solutions in the automotive industry. On the behalf of our client we are seeking to recruit:

Assistant Accounting Manager, Offenburg

Job summary

• Coordinate the work with accounting partner and our finance department
• Participate in the monthly closing
• Assist the Accounting Manager in his general responsibilities and/or specific projects
• Identify the fiscal risks and coordinate the controls to realize and the corrections if needed
• Follow all transfer prices issues within Europe scope and especially all the contractual aspects and documentation to be established in each country

Permanent missions

• Under the supervision of Accounting Manager, and for the German and Turkish entities coordinates with the finance department the project of new supplier / VAT representation/ new customer projects, proposal of improvements in relation with those projects
• Taxes: based on the analysis of tax risks (taxes by taxes), propose corrections and or new process (including new controls to be realized). Identify the actions for permanent progress linked to those process (VAT declaration and global controls to be realized, ...)
• Knowledge of the VAT principles related to intra-Community acquisitions
• Follow and coordinate the relation between finance department and the accounting partner up to the annual closing of accounts under US and local GAAP; coordinate with the accounting partner the appropriate establishment of tax accounts with respects of local tax, social, legal and accounting obligations in Germany and in Turkey. Put in place all the necessary controls and tools in order to ensure the appropriate follow up of those companies.
• Participate to the monthly and annual closings and coordinate the analysis of accounts with the finance department (realization in due time of the analysis for the German and Turkish entities, relevance of the analysis, charges completeness...).

Associated competencies

• Knowledge of German accounting rules and practical experience
• Knowledge of US accounting rules (US GAAP) preferable
• SAP
• German mother tongue
• Good communication in English language
• Training: German diploma in accounting with an experience in industry or accounting firm (3-5 years)
• Team Skills
• Result oriented
