Tasks

Project Management:

As the Business Product Owner

  • Contribute to the preliminary feasibility study and solution definition
  • Establish the desired development roadmap for Aircrew
  • Contribute to the IM Master Plan preparation by providing the required elements on her/his product (e.g. budget, scope, planning, priorities…).
  • Monitor the execution of the development plan, providing regular performance metrics and qualitative analysis on her/his product
  • Budget spendings
  • Actual Planning vs Forecasted Planning
  • Risks and Opportunities
  • Software Design Assurance
  • Adopt a continuous improvement approach when following these metrics
  • In charge, together with the Business, of User Acceptance Tests scenarios definition and management
  • Contribute to the roll out/solutions deployment and Change Management

Key interfaces are:

  • AH Method and Tool Teams and Aircrew Technical Writers for the Flight manual production chain
  • External developer for the digital flight manual solution Pilots and AH Flight Test

Support:

  • Ensure transversal support management by coordinating with all relevant stakeholders (e.g. IM, Business, other Product Managers, SupportDoc, editors…)
  • Accountable for User Support / Bug fixing
  • If needed, provide training to customers or internal users

Management tasks:

  • Manage suppliers for all activities subcontracted under his/her responsibility.
  • Supervise contract rollout, implement weekly development status review and monthly contract reviews
  • Place purchase orders and monitor deliverables
  • Other activities:
  • Participate to other strategic transformation projects of the department: Electronic Flight Bag, Aircrew vision 2030, Aircrew authoring tool obsolescence, …
  • Risk and opportunities management

Profile

Set as an interface between the Aircrew Business and the Information Management Team, this position requires:

  • A strong IM project culture: planning, cost management, risk and opportunity reporting, functions specifications, user story development and user acceptance tests definition and execution. IT competences would be a plus when dealing with IM,
  • Rigor, analytical skills and a creative problem solving mindset,
  • A strong customer mindset and a willingness to support internal (Aircrew technical writers producing the flight manual) and external customers (pilots using the digital software solution),
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in english
  • Project management
  • IT skills
  • Knowledge of DO-330 standard (or DO-178B) is a plus (“Software qualification tool considerations” defining the processes, objectives and tool qualification levels required for the verification and validation of software used in the design, development and certification of airborne systems)
  • Knowledge of ATA2300 standard used in documentation intended for pilots is a plus
  • Sense of leadership and autonomy
  • Stakeholders management and communication/negotiation skills
  • Team spirit
