Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Support Co-Engineering for Requirement Capturing and System Design of Payload Systems down to Equipment Level
  • Requirements analysis and architecture definition of navigation electronics at equipment system level
  • Specification and breakdown to detailed design of navigation signal and clock processing functions
  • Definition of design-, development and verification approach
  • Technical lead and implementation of algorithms, support to analog and digital development allocated to a project
  • Technical communication towards customer and subcontractors
  • Lead detailed design, hardware-software co-simulation at function level
  • Review analysis and documentation of design
  • Support of test procedures and reports for qualification and acceptance testing
  • Support specification and/or detailed design of necessary test benches
  • Preparation of technical proposals answering customer specifications
  • Definition of engineering resources needed and planning for design and development
  • This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

  • You are educated to a Master's degree in an Engineering discipline, such as Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, High Frequency Engineering, or equivalent
  • You have detailed theoretical and practical knowledge of the satellite-based Navigation Systems (Galileo, GPS, EGNOS, GLONASS) and respective Algorithms
  • You have gathered experience in standard engineering software (e.g. DOORS Requirements Management, Matlab/Simulink Toolkits, etc.)
  • You know about Mixed Signal Equipment specification and design (500MHz – 2GHz)
  • You may have an understanding of GNSS systems and various performance perimeters, in particular
  • short and long-term performance of (atomic) clocks
  • operating conditions for atomic clock ensembles in space
  • frequency accuracy and stability knowhow
  • algorithms for self-compensation and clock calibration
  • verification strategies for these algorithms
  • You have demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems and define innovative solutions
  • You are motivated to work within an international culture
  • You have a high degree of initiative, commitment and self-motivation
  • You have a customer-oriented and solution-oriented way of working
  • You are fluent in English, German would be a plus
