Your role

  • Reporting to the Head of Lab Water Solution Product Development, you are in charge of developing next generation Water Ultra-Purification Devices up to the commercialization phase. You transversely drive a multidisciplinary team of lead architects (Chemistry, Mechanical, Hydraulics, Hardware, Software). Other team members (typically 10+) are Contractors and Specialists from Group Functions.
  • You speak for the R&D organization within the new product development process (PDP). During the feasibility phase, you define the product architecture in collaboration with marketing (Voice Of Customer, Market Analysis, …), R&D colleagues and manufacturing. In the development phase, your focus is the program perfect execution (system performance, integrity, reliability, and risk mitigation). You support the Improve Group (product improvements and upgrades) in the market observation phase.
  • You will be responsible for Design definition and technical solution identification to match Marketing and manufacturing requirements ; R&D planning and activities (from concept to design transfer phase); R&D project budget and coordination of R&D resources ; Design control process owner for technical requirements (Design Specification, Functional Specification, …) and associated verification; and Certification.

This is a full-time position based in Guyancourt, France, in the R&D center of the Lab Water Solution division.

Profile

  • A skilled leader and system architect, passionate about engineering and new product development, eager to foster an entrepreneurial spirit and promote teamwork in a fast-pace environment.
  • Education: PhD, master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electronic, Software, Chimistry, …)
  • 10+ years of proven track record in leading product development projects up to market launch in the Life Science, Medical Device, Automotive, telecommunication, home appliance or Aerospace industries
  • Solid experience in requirements management
  • Solid understanding of System Engineering methodologies
  • Solid understanding of design for sustainability
  • Solid scientific knowledge in chemistry and physic
  • Good knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in a regulated market (UL, CE, ISO, ...)
  • Excellent written and presentation skills in English
