Description of the job
The Airbus Chief Technology Office (CTO) is looking for an Industrial Designer – Alias Surface Modeller (m/f) to join the CityAirbus project.
Our ambition is to relieve congestion and provide a seamless, on-demand, travel experience in the third dimension. Primarily enabled by new business models and the advances in electrification and autonomous systems, the potential to change our transport eco-system is promising a hugely exciting future.
This position reporting to our R&T subsidiary Airbus Exo Alpha GmBH is to be based in Ottobrunn/Munich for a Fixed-Term Contract that will last for the duration of the CityAirbus programme. Disabled applicants with equal qualification are favoured.
Specific responsibilities include
- Design the surface of the CityAirbus Demonstrator loft-line and surface according to the Airbus DNA.
- Responsible to process given technical, style and program inputs into a harmonized overall vehicle design.
- Create and manage activities regarding trade fair presentation mockups, scale models and virtual reality models.
- Assist the engineering team to find new possibilities of improving aerodynamics, performance, thermal aspects etc.
- Develop new vehicle shapes according to technical requirements and future business operations together with Airbus engineering and style.
- Create interior 3D design according to style inputs from Airbus’ style responsible.
- Compétences requises
Your Boarding Pass
- Master in Industrial Design with Strong Background in Surface Modelling of Vehicles.
- Previous experience working in the Automotive industry. Knowledge or the Aerospace industry would be a plus.
- Proven experience in Surface Modelling.
- Experience with 3D CAD surface modelling tools such as Alias (mandatory), Cinema4D, Rhino,…
- Experience in automotive interior 3D design would be a plus.
- Knowledge of 3D surface modelling, from scratch up to manufactural surfaces.
- Negotiation level in English. Knowledge of German would be a plus.
