The mission of the thermal systems business group is to develop and manufacture systems, modules and components to ensure thermal energy management of the power train and comfort for each passenger, during all phases of vehicle use. These systems help to significantly reduce fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and other pollutants and harmful particles from vehicles equipped with internal combustion engines. They also increase travel range and battery life for hybrid and electric vehicles. At the Front Office in Bietigheim-Bissingen we are supporting Sale- and Project activities and compose the interface between the customers Daimler and Valeo-internal departments at the development from Thermal Systems.
Missions
- Industrialization Management: Oversee the industrial schedule, resources, and budget to achieve project targets while adhering to CLEAN and IProM standards
- Team Leadership: Manage cross-functional teams, including tooling, purchasing, and logistics, to ensure smooth project execution
- Equipment Development: Collaborate with suppliers to follow the development of equipment and assembly lines, validating proposals and defining acceptance criteria
- Process Validation: Establish a Process Validation Plan, conduct pre-acceptance and acceptance of equipment at suppliers and the Valeo plant, and perform capability assessments
- Production Support: Plan and execute Full Day Production Runs (FDPR), monitor QCDM, and support production technicians and SMT engineers in training and problem-solving
- Standardization Compliance: Validate and promote adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring compliance with relevant policies
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement optimization opportunities, focusing on cycle time reduction and equipment performance enhancements
- Safety and Environment: Ensure compliance with Valeo Group safety and environmental procedures, maintain 5S practices, and report any safety rule violations
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree (3 to 4 years) in a relevant field
- 3-5 years of experience in process and industrialization within the SMT area
- Proficiency in English
- Familiarity with quality tools, including capabilities, statistics, and Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Experience in constructing Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; diplomatic and persuasive
- Ability to create concise presentations, with effective planning and prioritizing abilities
