Tasks

  • Legal support to strategic procurement matters and other LM team matters: You will deliver legal, structuring and negotiation support primarily to the Airbus Commercial Aircraft Procurement Department in liaison with other Legal Departments within Airbus, such as Compliance, Competition and others as well as with other Airbus functions such as Digital, Finance and Engineering.
  • In particular
  • Lead and coordinate the French law legal support to Procurement Equipment & Systems and Cabin business segments. You will interact with and support Top Company Executives in this leadership role protecting Airbus’ license to operate and grow.
  • Support other Airbus Commercial Departments, such as Services, as may be required in the support of the LM team activities.
  • Identify and assess legal risks in, primarily, Procurement contracts under French law, and potentially certain other Procurement contracts under other governing laws, initiating and monitoring any corrective and risk mitigation actions.
  • Support proactively in pre-litigation and litigation matters together with any relevant Departments. You will supervise external legal counsel whenever required.
  • Simplify and adapt standard documents, tools and processes to take into account the changing, competitive, technological and legal environment. You will also support digital matters as may be required.
  • Provide training sessions to LM members and internal customers.

Profile

  • French law qualification is mandatory.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in an international context, and in business & contract law
  • Experience in bankruptcy law appreciated
  • Team player with an ability to work with and across teams including Ethics & Compliance team.
  • Ability to work efficiently to meet demanding deadlines while ensuring that the risks for Airbus are identified, mitigated and limited.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Language skills: high-level drafting and negotiation skills in French and English are mandatory.
