FORWARDIS GmbH, a successful company within the SNCF Group specializing in international rail freight forwarding, is currently looking for a dedicated Rail Logistics Specialist (m/f/d) to join our ForwardNet Operations Department in Frankfurt am Main or Berlin (Mitte).
- Fixed-term contract: 2 years with the option of permanent employment
- Work location: Frankfurt am Main (near the central station) or Berlin Mitte
- Area of responsibility: European customers and railway companies
- Full-time: 40 hours/week, with rotating on-call duty in the evenings and on weekends within the team
- Salary package: between €47,000 and €51,000, consisting of a fixed salary, bonus, dividends, and benefits
Your Responsibilities
- Ordering and monitoring train services in cooperation with national and international railway undertakings
- Preparation of consignment notes and shipping instructions
- Monitoring, maintaining, and evaluating KPIs
- Monitoring (Track & Trace) and dispatching of trains and single wagons
- Regular and proactive communication with customers regarding the progress of their transports
- Troubleshooting and effective resolution of transport-related issues
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations (RID; SMGS) for all organized transports
Your Profile
- Industry knowledge in freight forwarding, logistics, or ideally rail logistics (Completed training as a Freight Forwarding Specialist is optional; relevant knowledge or professional experience is also acceptable)
- Good command of French, German, and English
- Flexible, customer-oriented, and a strong team player
- Able to think in a networked way, make decisions confidently, and work well under pressure
