Purchasing Trainee/Apprentice/VIE, Bietigheim-Bissingen

The mission of the thermal systems business group is to develop and manufacture systems, modules and components to ensure thermal energy management of the power train and comfort for each passenger, during all phases of vehicle use. These systems help to significantly reduce fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and other pollutants and harmful particles from vehicles equipped with internal combustion engines. They also increase travel range and battery life for hybrid and electric vehicles. At the Front Office in Bietigheim-Bissingen we are supporting Sale- and Project activities and compose the interface between the customers Daimler and Valeo-internal departments at the development from Thermal Systems.

Tasks

• Supports Project buyers in Preparation of Sourcing Plan
• share project constraints and propose sourcing strategy compliant with Group Segment Strategy
• Install competition between suppliers and proceed with all negotiations to ensure successful RFQ and/or auction process
• Proposes Lotting and RFP tactics and anticipate use of Auctions with the Project Team
• Performs RFQ Process via PuMa & Auction (Live or Online)
• Manage achievements of all project milestones related to suppliers

Profile

• Enrolled Student (m/f/d) in industrial engineering, automation technology, business administration or comparable
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Confident use of MS Office programs
• High level of initiative, commitment, diligence and reliability
• Ability to work in a team and work independently
• Assertiveness, negotiating skills, confident manner, determination, openness
• Business fluent in English
