Tasks
As his major task the job holder is responsible for the project management / coordination of all HoV in a cross program environment representing TBCUD3 deliverables on the several program committee meetings as to ensure internal planning of the deliverables and coordinate corrective actions in line with the HO if needed to comply with the FCO process/milestones.
Responsible for the controlling & payment process (SAP / Buy-Side) of the subcontracted service providers linked to the customized design support activities
Like renderings, Interior Colour Specification, Interior Colour Delivery Specification, Cabin Walk and findings protocol (budget responsible)
Focal point for handling Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) material quantities discrepancies. Coordinate necessary corrective actions through each assigned Cabin Design Definition Manager to have 100% match of BFE equipment between GESY & BFEMS databases within a given timeframe in order to allow procurement to release further BFE lists.
The employee acts in an autonomous way as to monitor and maintain material sample stock levels, ensuring adequate availability of supplier materials and standard sample boards for operational deliverables.
He / she will co-ordinate / execute autonomously material audit and sample collection activities between suppliers and TBCUD3 & 2 departments for ongoing material rationalisation, catalogue development and MQ1 Trim and Finish studio initiatives. Upon work share has been defined by the Design Manager he /she will execute & manage all related activities with the supplier (supplier interface) as to secure and contribute to the best result of the definition work Trim & Finish activities.
Furthermore he / she will provide administrative support to the Cabin Interior Design manager team.
Profile
- You have a 4 years degree in Interior / surface pattern / decorative material design, and more than 3 years of experience.
- Ability to understand and interpret customer needs to create a coherent trim and finish presentation
- Ability to present and explain design concepts that balance customer wishes against Airbus process and industrial constraints
- Ability to adapt design concepts to aircraft specific needs, guiding customers towards known and approved solutions
- Good interpersonal skills, and previous multicultural professional experience
- Good knowledge of Industrial design & illustration tools preferred (Coreldraw, Photoshop, Illustartor + plus microsoft suite)
- Highly motivated
- Capable of defining personal and project parameters, keeping commitments / milestones and working within an integrated team.
- A previous experience in airline cabin definition will be a plus.
