Tasks
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Provide legal support to the EGP management and buyers based in the Toulouse hub (whether in Airbus or in other EADS divisions) and contribute to the mitigation of risks of Airbus and EADS Divisions and to the resolution of disputes with suppliers.
- Interact with different functions of Airbus & EADS, such as Procurement, Finance, Strategy, Tax, Insurance or Compliance.
- Be a proactive member of the cross-functional teams involved in structuring new transactions or partnerships with external stakeholders relating to new projects, participate in project teams.
- Under the supervision of the the EGP Legal Coordinator and in coordination with the other lawyers of the EGP Legal group, provide the procurement teams with appropriate legal support, advice, coordination and documentation so as to ensure the contractual integrity of all commercial agreements relating to general procurement entered into by Airbus, for its own needs, but also in the name and behalf of the other EADS Divisions (Eurocopter, Cassidian, Astrium and Headquarters).
Profile
- You are a lawyer qualified in French law, UK or German law combining solid academic background and practical experience in various areas of law in an international context, in particular contract law, business law, intellectual property law, insolvency proceedings, pre-litigation and litigation.
- You have gained at least 3 to 5 years of professional experience (acquired in law firms and/or in the industry, preferably in the aircraft business).
A material experience in drafting, negotiation and contract law is a must.
- You are autonomous and team player, flexible and able to report clearly and timely on complex issues.
- You are available and versatile, able to work under high pressure on several files in parallel.
- You have a solid understanding of the business environment and constraints and have the ability to think strategically.
- You have the ability to work in a transnational environment.
- You are available to travel (essentially, but not exclusively, in Europe).
- You have excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
- You are proactive and creative, in the sense of being able to anticipate problems and propose and implement pragmatic solutions to prevent or remedy such problems.
This position requires a negotiation level in English as well as in French.
