Attached to the Legal department of the BU Astrium Space Transportation (ST), you will report directly to the Head of Legal Affairs within the BU. You will be in charge of monitoring the legal activities of the department with respect to French public law and international business law in the frame of space activities.
Tasks
Under the general supervision of the Head of the Legal Affairs, you will carry out the following duties:
- analysis of various type of contracts and resulting subcontracts as well as drafting the legal counterproposals: research contracts (Convention CIFRE/Ph.D thesis etc.), subcontracts, non-disclosure agreements, cooperation or consortium agreements, ESA contracts , public contract or frame agreements with CNES, license or transfer agreements (Patents/Software/Marks/Know-how), purchase and sale terms and conditions,
- support to the negotiations of the here above mentioned contracts,
- assessment and reduction of litigation risks as much as possible by providing legal advice on potential or on-going litigation,
- providing extended and active legal advice in the field of intellectual property rights in order to reduce as much as possible Astrium risks in this field, by the information and elaboration of secured drafting,
- active support with respect to the improvement of the legal sensibility of Astrium operational teams in particular in the field of the intellectual property rights.
Profile
You have a master's degree in Law or related subjects, with a confirmed experience of 2 years in a similar position. Ideally, you have already worked in an international company specialized in the space business and with a good knowledge of ESA, French MOD and CNES clauses.
You shall have:
- excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to successfully contribute to Astrium internal and external network and to encourage teamwork within the Legal department by being a good team player,
- a high level of motivation.
- A negotiation level in English is required for this position so as an advanced level in German.
You must have current CD Level Security Clearance or be eligible for CD Level Security Clearance to be considered for this position.
