Description of the job
Airbus Blagnac is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.
Within the Equipment/Systems supply chain & quality department, POEN is the team accountable for
- Quality and Supply Chain management at Supplier Group level, supporting Airbus Operations subsidiaries in France, Germany, UK and Spain,
- Program interface for all Airbus programs (A320, A330, A380, A400M and A350).
In 2015, the bad quality of the Demand signal has impacted the delivery performance of the supply chain. The subject has been pointed specially on the A350 and A320. The ramp up phase contributes to amplify this phenomenon.
The investigation of cases demonstrates the complexity of systems and processes interconnections. POE takes consciousness of the benefit to control the quality of the demand signal.
Thus, POE decides to launch the deployment of the End to End Demand Control Tower (E2EDCT) in order to control the Airbus Demand for Equipment (with the involvement of POEN).
This internship will start on 1st September, 2016 (subject to some flexibility).
Tasks & accountabilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Understanding a complex environment and interaction of stakeholders, starting by the A350 Program,
- Suggesting a database structure,
- Defining the related metric(s) which will allow to an overview of E2EDCT activity result,
- Supporting monthly activity report,
- Creating and structuring a dedicated ishare,
- Defining the workflow with the buy in of users,
- Creating a pragmatic database to support this workflow. The proposed solution shall be compliant and connected with the E2EDCT database developed,
- Supporting the Business Network mapping (A350 Prog, Conf, ME, plants).
Required skills
You're completing an engineering school, with a strong focus on industrial operations and manufacturing/supply chain.
You ideally have initial experience in the domain and you have knowledge of Excel / Access with macros (VBA), MRP concept is mandatory.
You are a strong team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.
- English: advanced level,
- French: fluent,
- German would be a plus.
