Head of Mission Management France department (m/f), Marignane

Tasks

You will have several missions:

Further develop Mission Management activities across the entire Eurocopter helicopter fleet, including but not limited to the following competencies:

• Digital Map.
• Mission feasibility.
• Tactical situation Management.
• Multi-mission enhancement.
• Crew assistance.
• Decision making
• OPV (Optionally Piloted Vehicle).

This applies to operational and technical knowledge.

Vision, Research, Innovation & technical presentations:

• Defining and developing innovative ideas for Mission systems in general and Mission Management related topics in particular, in order to propose competitive, attractive and innovative solutions for the Eurocopter fleet.
• Proposing research and innovation projects and harmonising these with the overall innovation policy.
• Leading research activity in the field of mission management.
• Contacting Universities, institutes, Partners for the allocated subsystems in order to co-operate and get an overview of technical possibilities and standards.
• Representing Eurocopter for allocated subsystems at congresses and expositions.
• Participating in the definition of the vision, in accordance with and in consolidation of the vision.

Supplier management:

• Responsible for adequate technical supplier management.
• Supporting the procurement department in contractual aspects.
• Responsible for technical supplier results with regard to contracts.
• Responsible for technical claim and waiver management.

Ensuring implementation of R&D transformation:

• Ensure the flow-down and roll-out of EC and several department directives down to the team.
• Ensure deployment and mastery of all applicable Roles and Responsibilities and related processes.

Technical Warranty:

• Technical responsibility for analysis and development throughout the entire life of the product
• Development of measures, in case of problems in-service (incidents/ accidents) to ensure the continued airworthiness of the fleet

Contribution to projects:

• Ensuring availability of resources to reach committed schedules and milestones projects.
• Ensuring that your department contributes to all projects in terms of Time Costs Quality Performances are in line with project expectations.
• Ensuring good relations and cooperation with Projects to find win-win solutions.

Proposals:

• Providing technical proposals for offers in accordance with Programs and Projects directives.
• Maximising synergy between proposals.

Human resource management on Marignane site:

• Performing annual and mid-year appraisals with the team using applicable tools (P&D for management-level staff annual appraisals for non-management level staff).
• Ensuring people development in order to grant availability and permit development of required skills, using applicable tools.
• Drawing up the promotion and salary policy in contact with Human Resources.
• Ensuring people leadership and management in order to assure motivation and commitment
• Ensuring availability of required competencies and skilled resources in consistency with workload and budget.

The position is located in Marignane. However, to ensure close coordination with other entities business trips might be required. Business trips to Supplier and Customer premises around the world might be required.

Profile

• You have a 5-year degree in Engineering
• You have at least 10 years of experience in engineering and in project and team management.
• You have solid operational knowledge, mainly in the mission domain.
• You have excellent technical knowledge and have an experience in Helicopters and avionics.
