Missions
- You will lead and implement data science projects as part of a rapidly growing and evolving team that works at the cutting-edge of applied data science
- You will have a large degree of autonomy and high visibility to top management
- You will build integrated data sets, analyse data sources (ML/AI), and build compelling visualisations (typically Python, R, Spark)
- You will visualise and communicate results (e.g. in interactive dashboards) to project stakeholders, including business experts and decision makers
- Furthermore, you will champion digital transformation, presenting and communicating best practises across Airbus.
- This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
Who are you?
- You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or equivalent
- You bring hands-on working experience as a data scientist
- You have project management experience, including delivering at an operational level
- Furthermore, you have solid experience in understanding, structuring, and integrating data (e.g., fields, data quality, ranges, volume, etc.)
- You can demonstrate significant knowledge using inferential statistics/machine learning (e.g. statistical testing, clustering, PCA, SVM, random forests, regression, neural networks)
- Ideally, you understand big data system architectures (e.g., HDFS, Spark) or have experience working with unstructured data (e.g. text, images, video)
- You are able to understand business processes and build up business cases
- You bring significant working experience in the relevant languages such as R, Python, Java, Matlab and/or Spark and data visualisation tools e.g. RShiny, Spotfire and/ or Tableau
- You have a structured, self-organised and collaborative way of working with a strong team spirit
- You are a strong communicator towards diverse audiences combined with strong networking skills
- You are comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment and you have personal resilience to challenge the status quo
- You speak English at negotiation level; German language skills would be a plus
- You are willing to take limited business trips within Europe (a few days per month)
