Your tasks and responsibilities
- You will design efficient metrics / evaluation criterion to assess the performance, efficiency, stability, reliability, generalizability and explainability of AI algorithms by running technical and clinical studies
- You will be responsible for proving the effectiveness and safety of the AI algorithms using scientific evaluation to support regulatory approval globally in different countries following different regulatory standards and guidelines to secure the certification of AI products
- You will interface globally with product management, regulatory, cross-functional and external teams and clinical Key Opinion Leaders to understand and provide subject matter expertise of AI algorithms for clinical applications
- You will leverage best practices in deep learning / machine learning in the product development cycle for conceptualization, development, integration for medical products and prototypes
- You will facilitate the integration of the algorithms into the AI products
- You will maintain a clear picture of evolving technology development and market trend in AI for medical applications

Your qualifications
- You possess a PhD in Computer Science/Engineering or related fields with focus on Machine Learning, Image Processing, Computer Vision, Medical Imaging or related domains
- Alternatively, you hold a MSc with several years of relevant work experience with solving challenging real-world medical imaging / computer vision problems
- You have a strong track-record of algorithm development in computer vision tasks such as image segmentation, registration, classification or clinical data analysis
- You have gained experience in machine learning, preferably deep learning and statistical modelling with knowledge of deep learning frameworks (such as Tensorflow, Caffe, PyTorch, Keras etc.)
- You have solid experience in scripting languages such as Python with experience in data science libraries such as NumPy, Scikit-learn, Pandas etc.
- Your publication record in peer-reviewed journals and conferences such as IEEE TPAMI, IJCV, Medical Image Analysis, IEEE TMI, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, MICCAI etc. is a plus
- The knowledge about healthcare information protocols and developing solutions compliant with common interoperability standards (such as DICOM etc.) is a plus
