As a European player in short-term power trading, our client is based in the heart of Europe in Paris. For the department of Product Design in the headquarters in central Paris, we are looking for a

Business Analyst (m/f) power markets

Tasks

• Close cooperation with other departments such as Customer Care, Business development, Public Affairs and Communication, Project management
• Follow-up of European power market environment and related studies
• Feasibility studies and pre-project research
• Market design and product design studies
• Participation in new product launches
• Attendance of work groups, customer visits
• Ensure good communication concerning ongoing studies and market surveys

Requirements

• Academic background in economics, business school and /or power system engineering
• Professional experience as analyst or consultant in the power market (4-5 years)
• Good knowledge of the economical functioning of the European wholesale markets and in particular of the German market
• Good understanding of the role of the power exchange within the economics of the European power system
• Ability to develop relationships with a range of internal/external stakeholders
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Fluency in German and English, a good level in French
