Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF)
Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) acts exclusively in the public interest. Our aim is to protect financial consumers and to promote fairness, transparency and security within the financial sector, one of the main pillars of the Luxembourg economy.
The CSSF is also distinguished by its strong involvement at European and international level. Our staff actively participate in working groups set up by international institutions and work closely with other European authorities, with the shared aim of promoting financial stability at European and international level.
Tasks
- As part of a team specialising in banking regulation, you will actively contribute to the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the answers collected through the self-assessment questionnaire in the context of the Long Form Report, which is a report to be submitted by banks on a yearly basis and which covers a broad scope of topics such as governance, credit risk, large exposures, MiFID or ESG risks.
- More specifically, the information disclosed in relation with the requirements of the sustainable finance disclosure regulation (ESG topic) will be analysed and you are expected to conduct horizontal analyses.
- In addition, you will participate to the annual exercise for the publication of prudential information, known as "supervisory disclosures", which provides a comprehensive view of the regulatory and supervisory framework in Europe and a comparison of the approaches adopted by the supervisory authorities of different Member States.
- Finally, you will assist with any other tasks related to the division's activities.
Profile
- Final year university student working towards a Master 2 degree with a focus on economics, finance, or management
- Strong interest in green finance (ESG), financial risk management, and quantitative approaches
- Excellent written and verbal knowledge of French and English. Knowledge of German and Luxembourgish would be an advantage
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in VBA programming language and knowledge of Access and Power BI tools would be an advantage
- Strong analytical, synthesis, and communication skills
- Critical thinking, attention to detail, and good organisational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
