Tasks

  • Your main responsibilities consist of working specifically on the tools and processes that ensure the scientific quality of our solver. They are organized around the following points:
  • Design and maintain validation test cases based on academic literature and reference benchmarks, comparing solver results against analytical solutions and published data (experimental or reference calculations);
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of our Python-based test framework, helping to automate and scale our validation CI/CD pipeline;
  • Collaborate closely with solver developers to investigate discrepancies, document findings, and drive continuous improvement of our validation processes. You will work in close collaboration with your experienced colleagues in a caring and flexible work environment.
  • This 12-month apprenticeship position is based in Lyon and available from September 2026.

Profile

  • Currently enrolled in an engineering program or equivalent in computer science, applied mathematics, fluid mechanics, computational mechanics, or a related field, you are looking for a 12-month apprenticeship contract:
  • You have solid software development skills, particularly in Python and/or C++.
  • Knowledge of numerical and/or fundamental/theoretical CFD methods is appreciated; familiarity with Lattice Boltzmann methods would be a bonus.
  • You are open-minded, curious, and rigorous, with good interpersonal skills that allow you to collaborate easily in an international environment.
  • Your communication skills in both French and English enable effective collaboration within the extended team, and your strong critical thinking skills help you thrive in a scientific setting.
