Head of Swiss office (f/m) energy sector, Bern

Our client is a leading company for short-term power trading in Europe and is creating a new office in Bern, Switzerland.

Thus we are looking for the future Head of Swiss office (f/m) who reports directly to the Director of the Public Affairs & Communications Department.

Mission

• Represent the company in Switzerland at all forums/associations/working groups of relevance or energy wholesale market issues
• Build up contacts with relevant Swiss stakeholders on the Swiss energy market
• Monitor and evaluate energy policy of the Swiss government and their impact on energy wholesale trading, as well as regulatory topics concerning the Swiss and EU energy market
• Scrutinize hearings, reports and parliamentary missions
• Plan communication measures linked to political issues
• Prepare and organize meetings and conferences
• Act as an interface for local exchange members
• Manage the Swiss office

Profile

• A developed understanding of the decision-making processes of the Swiss political system and the regulatory landscape, the EU institutions and of the energy sector
• Studies : Law, Political sciences or specialized Master in Public Affairs, or focus on energy studies
• Many years experience in corporate and public law, government relations & public affairs or lobbying.
• Fluent English, German and French
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Ability to develop relationships with a range of internal/external stakeholders at all levels; excellent interpersonal and influencing behaviors
• excellent analytics skills
