For Airbus in Hamburg within the department Industrial Maintenance we are looking for a VIE - Industrial Maintenance Procurement Assistant (f/m).
Context
The EADS general procurement department has been organized in a transnational and trans-divisional organization. Within this framework, a harmonization plan was launched to rationalize the processes, to reduce the costs and to improve the procurement performance. The procurement commodity Investment & Maintenance has been set up to ensure that all EADS investment projects are managed through a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) strategy. The Machines, Tooling & Industrial Maintenance Procurement activities are managed within that commodity by a team of 27 buyers for all EADS plants and sites.
In that context, the activities of the jobholder will consist in supporting the development and implementation of the spare parts management transnational strategy in the EADS Business Units.
Purpose
The TCO strategy for maintenance sub-commodity has been based on 2 axes:
1. Original Equipment Manufacturer contracts implementation:
- As part of the acquisition phase, the maintenance procurement team is putting in place contracts with the Original Equipment
- Manufacturer (OEM) to define spares consignment stocks and after sale services.
- Maintenance spares will be managed via a transnational distributor who will organize the stock management of the OEM spares and ensure the interface with the maintenance team.
In that context for EADS, the jobholder will have to:
Support the implementation of spares transnational distributor in EADS/AIRBUS sites
Follow up the OEM after sales contracts
2. Maintenance & Maintainability approach:
For all strategic projects the strategy is to:
- Optimize the maintenance requirement by improving the maintainability of the assets
- Anticipate the maintenance contract implementation during the design and construction phases
- Secure the availability of spare parts in time/cost/quality
For this strategy, the jobholder will have to:
- Support the maintainability analysis of the A350 spares demand
- Support the implementation of spare parts strategies at each steps of the acquisition project (Critical design review, Acceptance, Entry into service, warranty period) and follow up the performance of delivery of the deliverables requested through the contracts
In the frame of the activities the jobholder needs to:
- Manage procurement projects and call for tenders with multi-divisional and trans-national scope within the scope of the Machines, Tooling & Industrial Maintenance sub-commodity
- Develop and maintain an efficient supply chain capable to deliver goods/work-packages (services), matching EADS requirements and business objectives.
- Secure long-term alignment of the preferred supplier base with the long-term trans-national and trans-divisional strategic needs of EADS.
- Deliver on initiatives contributing to EADS Savings Programs using the levers of requirements harmonization/standardization, challenge of the specifications, volume aggregation, and control of the demand.
Profile
We are looking for candidates with the following skills:
- Bachelor/Master in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or equivalent
- English: fluent / negotiation level
- German skills are an advantage
- Ability to work in a multifunctional and international team
- Ability to work autonomously
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Experience in supply chain or logistics
