V.I.E. Global Sourcing Strategy, Munich

For EADS in Munich within the department Global Sourcing Network we are looking for a VIE Global Sourcing Strategy (f/m).

Tasks

The role of the EADS Airbus Global Sourcing Network is to globalize the sourcing footprint of the company within the context of the Vision 2020 strategic guideline - reaching 40 % sourcing beyond Western Europe. We support EADS Divisions and Business Units in identifying and qualifying new suppliers across the world beyond Western Europe. The global sourcing strategy is based on for main sourcing drivers:

• Value for Cost
• Market Access
• Rare Resources
• Risk Management

Under the leadership of the Vice-President Global Sourcing Network and in support of the governance function, you will participate in the annual strategy update and monitoring, in interaction with the group's Divisions and Country Sourcing Offices as well as the Tier 1 suppliers. Moreover, you will have an interface role with Sourcing Offset Management and Sales & Marketing community to follow up the market access developments and implications.

Profile

We are looking for candidates with the following skills:
Education

• Engineering Degree/Master Degree in Aerospace and Post-Graduate Degree from a Leading Business School (HEC, ESSEC, ESCP, and/ or other Business School)
• Specific Knowledge
• Languages: fluent in English (basic German useful)
• At ease for both strategic and numerical reflexion
• Perfectly at ease with Power-Point, Excel and Word

Soft skills required:

• Ability to work autonomously, take personal initiative and highly reactive
• Capacity to evolve in a high sensitive and multicultural environment
• Used to working in a corporate environment
• Good communicator - at ease with communicating internally and externally with suppliers
• Engineering background / understanding of EADS commodity families
