Octapharma specializes in the development of highly pure pharmaceuticals made of human blood plasma. As part of a family-owned enterprise, Octapharma in Vienna is not only the largest production site, but also a successful research location of the Octapharma Group.

Missions

  • Manage large product development projects (preand post-marketing) for drugs and drug/device combination products, which have a broad impact for the Int. Business Units Critical Care and Immunotherapy
  • Propose, initiate, plan, monitor, document, and close complex projects Apply XLPM project management standards
  • Lead and coordinate several multi-disciplinary, cross-functional project teams across Octapharma sites and with academia partners and CMOs Support each organization and department in reaching their goals
  • Integrate drug development at all stages by closely interacting with all internal and external stakeholders including scientists, engineers, manufacturers, clin-ops, regulatory managers, and product managers
  • Compile and communicate key information, report status, escalate issues and propose solutions to the Steering Group as needed
  • Support management with governance, budget, and business planning activities
  • Support in best practice sharing within and between project management groups at different sites

Profile

  • A university degree (PhD is a plus) in natural sciences in combination with min. 6 years of relevant experience in the dynamic fields of biotechnology or pharmaceuticals
  • A proven track record in project management is necessary a PM certification/qualification is an advantage
  • Building strong relationships, leading with empathy and influencing experts and leaders is your daily business
  • Outstanding communication skills to foster a collaborative team environment with open dialogue
  • Organizational skills and ability to seamlessly handle multiple tasks amidst complexity will be invaluable
  • Sharp analytical and strategic thinking will drive creative solutions to challenging problems
  • Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is a must and proficiency in German is highly desirable French would be a fantastic bonus
  • Willingness to travel

The minimum gross salary according to the collective agreement (chemical industry) for your new job is EUR 3.909,67. We strive to adapt your salary to your range of tasks and to your profile, which is why we are ready to pay salaries higher than collectively agreed.
